Most of these should be common-sense but I'm gonna list them out anyway and anything not covered here can be added later or brought up in FAQ.

  • DON'T BE DICKS. Your characters can be dicks, and we all know that NPCs will be dicks, but don't be dicks to each other. This covers intentionality, too. Don't assume that everyone else will be able to boomerang tags all the time; we all have our own workloads and schedules, so as long as everyone's making AC, there's no need to hound people for replies or constantly remind people or ask them to do things. Even if you don't think you're being a dick, whoever you're hounding or unintentionally guilt-tripping over the speed or loss of a thread probably doesn't appreciate it. It's a game, not the most important thing in our lives, you should be ok with letting it go if necessary.
  • STANDARD RP ETIQUETTE/GUIDELINES APPLY. This means no godmodding, infomodding, or fourthwalling without permission from all involved players. This game is still going to utilize dice rolls, which should cut down on any godmodding, but don't assume to know something about someone else's character unless the information has been previously presented in a thread/session, or unless you've discussed the details with the other player. Make sure to clear all actions with the other person, especially if it involves displacing or initiating contact with the character. Don't just throw someone like a javelin without asking, y'all.
  • THE HONOR SYSTEM IS IN PLACE. Typically speaking dice rolls will happen whenever you have the potential to fail. That's just the rule of thumb. I'll impose dice rolls as I see fit when players are in a thread with me, and Madi will also have this authority in main threads with Vesper, but I expect everyone to self-regulate on their own private threads.
  • BE FLEXIBLE. BE ACTIVE. While it's important to be respectful of other players' boundaries, it's also important to bend a little. It's fine to have a stubborn or reluctant character, but you need to somehow find a way to still follow plot hooks. Bilbo Baggins didn't want to go on an adventure at first, but he still ended up going and it was in-character for him to do so. Todd Brotzman didn't want to be involved with Dirk Gently and the mysterious circumstances therein, but he still got involved and even led the action sometimes in his own right. Don't rely on the other player to lead 100% of the action; the split between leading and following should stay roughly around 50/50.
  • HAVE FUN. First and foremost this game was intended to be a fun bit of escapism for all of us, and I want it to stay that way. It shouldn't be stressful, and no one person should feel like they're carrying the group or bearing the weight of responsibility for the entire party. The moment this game stops being fun for everyone is the moment the game needs to stop.
